Born in Listowel, he was a son of Weldon Buchanan and the former Eva Chalmers, of [address], Stratford. He had resided in Stratford since 1954.
He was sales manager of Buchanan and Hall Ltd.
Surviving besides his parents, Weldon and Eva Buchanan, are sons, David and James, of Cambridge; a brother, Bob and wife Barb, of Stratford; sisters Arlene Schaller and husband Fred, of Chatham, and Louise McAsh and husband Gary, of London; also five nieces and six nephews.
Friends will be received at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron St., Stratford, today from 7-9 p.m. A private family service will be held Saturday. Burial will be in Donegal Cemetery.
